chansons des jours fériés …

« Reckoning Song » No more tears, my heart is dry I don’t laugh and I don’t cry I don’t think about you all the time But when I do –I wonder why You have to go out of my door And leave just like you did before I know I said that I was sure But rich men can’t imagine poor. One day baby, we’ll be old Oh baby, we’ll be old And think of all the stories that we could have told Little me and little you Kept doing all the things they do They never really think it through Like I can never think you’re true Here I go again – the blame The guilt, the pain, the hurt, the shame The founding fathers of our plane That’s stuck in heavy clouds of rain. One day baby, we’ll be old Oh baby, we’ll be old And think of all the stories that we could have told.

The Doors : Touch me

Album: The Soft Parade (Expanded) [40th Anniversary]

Yeah! Come on, come on, come on, come on

Now touch me, baby

Can’t you see that I am not afraid?

What was that promise that you made?

Why won’t you tell me what she said?

What was that promise that you made?

Now, I’m gonna love you

‘Till the heavens stop the rain

I’m gonna love you

‘Till the stars fall from the sky

For you and I

Come on, come on, come on, come on

Now touch me, baby

Can’t you see that I am not afraid?

What was that promise that you made?

Why won’t you tell me what she said?

What was that promise that you made?

I’m gonna love you

‘Till the heaven stop the rain

I’m gonna love you

‘Till the stars fall from the sky

For you and I

I’m gonna love you ‘

Till the heavens stop the rain

I’m gonna love you

‘Till the stars fall from the sky

For you and I!

« Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now »

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows I’m miserable now
I was looking for a job, and then I found a job
And heaven knows I’m miserable now
In my life
Why do I give valuable time
To people who don’t care if I live or die?
Two lovers entwined pass me by
And heaven knows I’m miserable now
I was looking for a job, and then I found a job
And heaven knows I’m miserable now
In my life
Oh, why do I give valuable time
To people who don’t care if I live or die?
What she asked of me at the end of the day
Caligula would have blushed
« Oh, you’ve been in the house too long » she said
And I naturally fled
In my life
Why do I smile
At people who I’d much rather kick in the eye?
I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows I’m miserable now
« Oh, you’ve been in the house too long » she said
And I naturally fled
In my life
Oh, why do I give valuable time
To people who don’t care if I live or die?

The Smiths – Bigmouth stikes again (sortie en 1986, sur leur troisième album The Queen Is Dead)

Paroles
Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking
When I said I’d like to smash every tooth
In your head
Oh sweetness, sweetness, I was only joking
When I said by rights you should be
Bludgeoned in your bed
And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her roman nose
And her Walkman started to melt
Oh
Bigmouth, la bigmouth, la
Bigmouth strikes again
And I’ve got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh, bigmouth, la bigmouth, la
Bigmouth strikes again
And I’ve got no right to take my place
With the Human race
And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her roman nose
And her hearing aid started to melt
Bigmouth, la bigmouth, la
Bigmouth strikes again
And I’ve got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh
Bigmouth, oh bigmouth, la
Bigmouth strikes again
And I’ve got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh
Bigmouth, oh bigmouth, la
Bigmouth strikes again
And I’ve got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh
Bigmouth, oh bigmouth, la
Bigmouth strikes again
And I’ve got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh

jour de chance

RADIOHEAD : « Lucky »

I’m on a roll, I’m on a roll
This time, I feel my luck could change
Kill me Sarah, kill me again with love
It’s gonna be a glorious day

Pull me out of the aircrash
Pull me out of the wake
I’m your superhero
We are standing on the edge

The Head of State has called for me by name
But I don’t have time for him
It’s gonna be a glorious day
I feel my luck could change

Pull me out of the aircrash
Pull me out of the wake
I’m your superhero
We are standing on the edge

Artist Creates INVISIBLE ‘Art’ and Collectors are Paying Millions

(Above): Art enthusiasts admire Newstrom’s invisible paintings and sculptures at the Schulberg Gallery in New York.

27-year-old artist Lana Newstrom says she is the first artist in the world to create invisible “art.”  In this documentary, CBC Radio traveled to her empty studio to learn more about Lana and her unusual  artistic process.

According to Newstrom, “Just because you can’t see anything, doesn’t mean I didn’t put hours of work into creating a particular piece”.

“Art is about imagination and that is what my work demands of the people interacting with it. You have to imagine a painting or sculpture is in front of you,” says Newstrom.  Paul Rooney, Lana’s agent, believes she might be the greatest artist alive working today: “When she describes what you can’t see, you begin to realize why one of her invisible works can fetch upwards of a million dollars.” said Rooney.

Take me out tonight
Where there’s music and there’s people
Who are young and alive
Driving in your car
I never, never want to go home
Because I haven’t got one
Anymore

Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see lights
Driving in your car
Oh please, don’t drop me home
Because it’s not my home, it’s their home
And I’m welcome no more

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine

Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don’t care..
And in the darkened underpass
I thought: ‘Oh God, my chance has come at last!’
But then a strange fear gripped me
And I just couldn’t ask

Take me out tonight
Oh take me anywhere, I don’t care..
Driving in your car
I never, never want to go home
Because I haven’t got one
Oh I haven’t got one

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine

There is a light that never goes out
